Wells Gray Lakes Map

Our first night in the Park we stayed at one of the two car campgrounds at the south end of Clearwater Lake (Falls Creek Campground), then the next morning, took the water taxi (a power boat) from the boat ramp up to the farthest campground on the south shore of Azure Lake (Rainbow Falls Campground). We stayed there two nights. Our next campsite was the one at the extreme west end on the north shore of Azure Lake (Indianpoint Campground, above and to the right of that canoe portage sign), and we also stayed there two nights. The last campsite we used was the northernmost one shown on the eastern shore of Clearwater Lake (Huckleberry Campground). We stayed one night there. I think a few campsites are not shown. On most of the lakes in the Park, camping is restricted to designated campgrounds, which all have outhouses and big metal lockers to keep animals (primarily squirrels, chipmunks, and bears) out of canoeist's food packs. All, or nearly all tent sites also have picnic tables.
