Wells Gray Park Location Map![]() That red spot on the little light green map of BC down in the lower right corner shows the area where the rest of the map is located. Those light green islands on the left side of the province are in the Pacific Ocean. BC is just north of Washington State in the USA (where Seattle is located, not Washington DC). We're paddling those lower two lakes of the group of three at the end of that red road that goes into the park, the darker green area in the upper left corner of the bigger part of the map. The two larger lakes above and to the left of the campground symbol above the words "Wells Gray." For those of you interested the crooked lake to the right of the words Wells Gray is Murtle Lake. The river coming out of it and going into the Clearwater River south of Clearwater Lake is the Murtle River. The other lake that goes off the image to the left (west) is Mahood Lake. Canim Lake is farther west off the map. Not far to the northwest of Wells Gray Park, out of the picture here, is Bowron Lakes Provincial Park, also famous for the canoe camping experiences it can provide. It's a very pretty place, too. Also head there if you get a chance. The Bowron Lake official Park page is: http://wlapwww.gov.bc.ca/bcparks/explore/parkpgs/bowron.htm and a Google.com search will bring up more info.
