Alison's Fish 2

Alison's rainbow trout.

Rainbow trout are the fish of choice in the Clearwater and Azure Lake system. There are other fish to be caught, like redside shiner, mountain white fish and maybe dolly varden. The fishing isn't great, but there are fish. Off of creek mouths is usually as productive or more so than other spots, but simple trolling in many areas will sometimes generate a catch, too.

John and Alison both used spinners on spincasting gear. Panther Martins by Mepps, I think were the lures they were most successful with. Neither Laurie or I are fishermen, we don't even own a pole. We depend on others to keep us supplied, and always bring enough food with us in case they aren't biting.

A sample of those jokes I mentioned in the text of the main report: Definition of a fisherman - A piece of string with a jerk at each end! (stolen from a fly fishing buddy of mine).
