Wilderness Canoe Tripping
Farther Above Rainbow Falls![]() This picture is upstream of the previous one. Angus Horne Creek (I think named for an early trapper who spent a lot of time in this area) just keeps falling and falling. Upstream of here the creek flattens out on a plateau. Angus Horne Lake, at 991 meters (3251 feet, about 1000 feet above Azure Lake), is about a 7 mile hike from our campground. The lake is fed by snowfields and glaciers on unnamed peaks (on my map) farther to the east.
