Wilderness Canoe Tripping
Above Rainbow Falls on Angus Horne Creek![]() This is a shot from just upstream of the top of Rainbow falls. That waterfall you see at the top of the picture is probably about ten feet high. Water comes over it from the right (turns 90 degrees, then over the lip), then goes through this narrow, rocky canyon, then turns 90 degrees to the left at my feet, the bottom of the picture, and goes over Rainbow Falls. The rocks you're looking at are all granite and schist. This schist is metamorphosed rock (heat from the granite, and pressure from the rock above), probably originally sea bottom sediments.
