Wilderness Canoe Tripping
Huckleberry Campground Beach![]() Looking probably a little north of west along the beach at Huckleberry Campground from east of our tentsite. Again, the tents are just inside the woods. That's John rinsing his hands off in the lake. I think it is all the same canoes as in the picture included on the trip report page, just looking at them in reverse order, and they've been moved to their night time resting positions. I'm not sure of the mountains in the background, but the higher one is probably Eureka Peak at 2426 meters (7959 feet). It's the only one named in that approximate direction, well south of Mt. Perseus. There are several other unnamed summits around it. There is more campground beach around the corner to the right (north), with more beach front campsites along it.
