John took this picture of the boats, gear and river while Hank was in the taxi going to the Northern Lights Air base for the car. You can tell the Liard is big here, 45,000 cfs or so (about 1260 cubic meters per second). The bridge is just behind John about 50 feet (15 m) and before you get to it is the water survey recording gauge, a small locked metal building.
