John took this picture of the Cessna 185 landing on North Lake with Laurie, Hank, boat, and gear about 7:30 in the evening. This one was a cloudy rainy, bumpy ride, but John's and Dennis's flight was pretty smooth, and usually quite sunny. Things are a bit fuzzy because of slow shutter speeds on a dark, rainy day, and the plane is probably travelling about 100 mph (160km/hr). You can see the wave swells and chop on the lake surface.
