North Lake Campsite View 1
This is a view looking southeast from our campsite at the southern (lower) end of North Lake. The glacial cirque you see is the background is the one mentioned in the text that we climbed up on day three of our trip. Most of the other 'altitude' views you see on this page are from that cirque looking out and down. The small building frame is part of the hunter's camp complex. A framework for a small tent cabin, that we used to hang our solar shower when we wanted to take a bath. In fact, we might all be clean now because you can see towels hanging in it to dry. Laurie is sitting in the green camp chair facing left, probably reading either the bird or flower guidebook. Dennis is in the blue camp chair (facing away), probably reading a Tom Clancy novel. Hank might be in the other blue campchair to the right, but can't tell for sure from this angle. John is taking the picture.
