Fire Lake View, Image 1
A picture by John of Fire Lake from where the North River enters. We're standing on the sandspit at the mouth of the river looking south east along the length of the lake. Fire Lake is just over 3 miles long (5 km) and wider than North Lake, averages probably 2/3rds of a mile (1 km). The mining camp is half way down on the left shore, but you can't pick it out in this picture. A pretty lake, still some snow on the peaks around it. The mining exploration in this area is out of the picture, on the back side of the hills to the left (east).
