Another picture by John of a drop in the set of rapids below Fire Lake. I'm not sure, but this looks to me to be the one just below the start of our portage. That would mean that the other picture would be downstream somewhere. There was about a half mile (800 m) of this that we portaged. We could have put in a little earlier than we did, but walking a bit farther downstream was easier than down the steep hill to the water immediately after the rapids quit.
