Carload of Canoes for the North/Black and Big Salmon

This is us unloading gear, actually at the put-in for the Big Salmon after our North/Black River trip. Christian Bauer of Germany took the picture of us, the only one who thought of doing so. We were loaded pretty heavily on the way up. Four paddlers, plus most of the gear for five people, and canoes for seven. The spare boat, (the strip cedar) will be used on the flatter Big Salmon and Yukon Rivers.
