Black River Image From Airplane

Black River, 35kb

Another view John took looking out the window of the airplane on the flight in. It is of the Black River in the area of the spot where we will camp before reaching the Liard. Water is flowing left to right. The 2600 foot contour (792.5 m) crosses the river just upstream out of picture. Our campsite is in that loop that is cut off on the right side of the image. You can see from the black rock in that cliff cut by water action where the Black River probably gets its name.
