In mid July of 1997, seven people in three canoes
spent 12 days paddling the Big Salmon River into the Yukon River,
taking out at Little Salmon, Yukon Territory, Canada.

This is a repeat of a 1989 trip with some different participants. The
youngest participant on this trip was a 19 month old baby girl, to indicate
the trips ease. Luise's parents are very good, and very experienced
paddlers, which helped in the tighter, complex river maneuvering found in
places. They also paddled an 18'-6" strip cedar canoe loaned to them for the trip.
